About | CWA

Christian Walk Alive (CWA) is a non-profit organization started in the year 2000. Its goal has been to use a variety of media to tell good stories that encourage people, edify the church and spread the Gospel. So much of what is seen on television and films is immoral, immature and sometimes downright disgusting. We wanted to provide an alternative for Christians and non-Christians alike. While the heart of all CWA's projects is to spread the message of the Gospel, we also strive to provide something entertaining and uplifting for all people.

CWA first produced a radio drama called A Work In Progress. It was aired on several radio stations and online at Oneplace.com. After about 10 years, and 71 episodes, it was time to move on. Making a feature film was something we wanted to do from the very beginning, but with a very small budget, this seemed impossible -- that is until Sherwood Pictures started making Christian films. They started off with a low budget film called Flywheel. The movie had a great story and they were able to successfully continue making more films with larger budgets. They had created a new model for Christian filmmakers. Following this model, CWA decided to make Homecoming. Our team of writers worked for months on what they thought was a good story. The CWA film crew and actors then spent the rest of the time making the movie on a budget of less than $20,000. When it's all done and over with, over two years will have been invested in making Homecoming.

This is our first film and while it may not be the Hollywood blockbuster that you're used to seeing, we think you'll enjoy it. It's a great story and a good movie. We hope it will entertain, encourage and bless you! If God blesses CWA and allows us to make another film, then we'll be back at it again.
